I wanted to share a few thoughts I had about Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. In Luke 1:28 the Angel of the Lord approaches Mary with reverence by saying, "Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." If you go on to read through verse 56 there are many attributes we can learn from Mary. I want to share some of the attributes I found:
Morally clean (vs. 26)
Lived in a way to keep the Spirit with her (vs. 28)
Logical (vs. 34) "How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?"
Obedient and trusting (vs 38) agreed to what the Angel had said
Acted right away (vs 39) "...went into the hill country with haste."
humble (vs. 43)
gratitude (vs. 46-47)
teacher/testify (vs. 49-55)
I would like to work on being more of a teacher and sharing my testimony. I have seen many blessings in my life and should always show gratitude. Part of the gratitude I could show better is by sharing my experiences with others. I have been around people who are not afraid to share their faith. I always feel uplifted being around someone who is testifying of Christ. This does not always happen by words but can also be by action. I feel if I were to be more bold in sharing my testimony of the Savior I would spiritually grow closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I would also have the Spirit with me more and be more inspired.
