Tyson Steiner Buck

Tyson Steiner Buck was born on October 30th, 2012 at 4:45 a.m.. He weighed 8lbs 11 oz. The adventure began Monday night around 11 p.m.. Bunker, our eldest kitty, got herself stuck on the apartment roof. Again. We decided to let her stay up there all night and see if she could get down herself. I started feeling some unusual back pain, but didn't really think anything of it.
I wasn't that tired and so I read until about 12:45 in the morning. I can't remember the exact timing, but I heard a pop and instantly thought that my water had broken. I slowly got up and walked into the bathroom and then back into bed. It took about 5 minutes and then I had the gush of water come racing out of me. After that Dustin started gathering the last few items for our hospital bags and I was having contractions 4-5 minutes apart. We headed to the hospital and got there around 2 a.m. and waited half an our or so to be admitted to our room. When I first got to the hospital I was at 4 cm, things progressed pretty quickly. I don't know the exact time, but I started to feel like I needed to push. I had the nurse check and I was at 8 1/2 cm. Within the next half hour I jumped to 10 cm and had the baby. Again, he arrived at about 4:45 a.m. and then it took another 45 minutes to stitch me up since I tore while pushing him through. Pushing was painful and I am very glad it is over. I am also very grateful Tyson came when he did and quickly. Dustin was a great coach and did everything he could to help me be comfortable. Tyson is an excellent baby and we love having him as the newest addition to our family:)

I was so tired after the big event- it was hard to keep my eyes open.
I wanted to add this picture of Bunker since she is apart of Tyson's arrival into this world:) That is her eating half of a chicken breast that she stole off the stove.
