Dustin and I planned a trip to Los Angeles (only 6.5 hours away) and we stayed in the temple apartments right next to the L.A. temple. We had a couple family names and did all of the ordinances starting with baptism- it was great to spend so much time in the temple.
We seem to like finding small, family owned Italian restaurants. This was a fun place for a reasonable price!
The L.A. temple is huge!! I never got a picture with the full temple showing.
We spent time around the beach, there was a lot to see and do.
We rented a surf board and wet suit for an hour. Dustin went surfing first, he was very excited. The water was cold; which is why he came back to put the suit on.
Seagulls. It got the crackers out of my bag and was going at the rest of the stuff. Luckily I saw before we had our food all over the beach.
It was my turn next, I was not the happiest person at that moment. I think I would enjoy surfing more if I knew how to surf. I ended up with a lot of salt water in my face.
We didn't have internet access at the apartments and the gps wouldn't work in my car. So we had to find internet connections wherever we could. We thought these directions would take us to the Hollywood sign, but it took us to the Griffith Observatory. It was still cool to see and take pics of.
We asked around and figured out how to hike to the sign, this was as close as we could get.
We also did the Star Walk, it was fun and had lots of interesting shops.
